Lovely little Izakaya run by a single chef. The owner doesn’t speak English but was very friendly and accommodating. We loved his tofu salad. He makes his own goma sauce which is lovely. The other dishes were also very good. He uses local ingredients and makes his own sauces.

On day 3 of my 38-day trip to Japan, exploring around the 11th time, I'm staying near Fujisan Station for the next two days. Today, my wife suggested a local food spot based on a Google Maps search. Following the guide, we embarked on a journey within a 10-minute walk. It turned out to be an 居酒屋 (izakaya), and despite my limited Japanese and basic kanji understanding, we were warmly welcomed. We opted for a delightful meal featuring pork steamboats with noodles. I ordered two bottles of hot sake, and the owner recommended horse meat served as sashimi. It's an authentic experience, and I encourage others to explore local restaurants for a genuine taste of the cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner, and for those interested, please note that the owner closes on Tuesdays, as indicated in their notice. The owner made a sincere effort to communicate in English, blending it with Japanese, and I truly appreciate the hospitality.

Highly recommend Yakisoba and takoyaki are really good. Chef is very nice but the meal is slow because he is only one chef. (No English menu but you can show the picture)
